It’s taco night at the downtown coffee bar, tucked away on Park Street just south of the courthouse. A sidewalk table beckons us to relax and enjoy the breezy evening air. The coffee is excellent; the tacos are fair. Why don’t we do this more often?
She walks past, tattoo-covered and a bit rough in the wardrobe. We smile and nod. She stops. “Can I borrow that phone to call my bail bondsman?”
A young man approaches. “Can one of you give me a ride to the Pit Stop?”
Now it’s an older gentleman with a limp. “Hey guys, a couple of bucks for a burger would be righteous.”
All within our first fifteen minutes.
If you want a quiet dinner, go inside. If you want an interesting meal, choose the sidewalk table. 🙂
